Audio on Linux

If you like to venture outside of the main operating systems, i.e. Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS, then Linux is the alternative operating system you can try, that is slowly gaining market share.

Linux operating system has been attracting new users for quite some time now. Gone the days of command line nerdy coding and operation. These days with over 200 varieties of Linux distribution models, there are plenty choices to meet a user’s need. From security to reliability and ease of use desktop management systems, sometime one can feel right at home.

But, how about for audio and music production?

Well, I’ve been experimenting, testing and trialling a dozen of the most popular Linux distros for music production, and on this page I will share my experiences, opinions, as well as step-by-step beginner’s guide on installing, setting up and configuring Linux for Music and Audio Production.
