LA9A Compressor | New Plugin

Just started working on a new plugin titled LA9A Levelling Compressor.

It’s unlike a typical compressor, and before anyone asks, no, it’s not another LA2A clone.

Although it does have some of the famous LA2A Opto Compressor-like features, it’s not based on any hardware compressor. The LA9A is more of what I would like to hear from a Levelling Compressor.

You might think it’s a s simple “One Knob” style compressor, but it’s not.

No Threshold, Attack or Release time dials, as they are managed by the incoming audio signal and the Compress dial position.

The idea is to gently but constantly keep the signal under compression to get a balanced and levelled output signal.

Great on Vocals, Bass, Drum Bus or even Acoustic Guitars. Use your ears to adjust the compression that you like and that suits best for the instrument or bus. Got multiple vocals and harmonies? Group them to a bus and use LA9A to level them all into harmonious, balanced vocals.

Two types of Compression Modes, Internal Side-Chain, and, most requested, an Auto-Leveling output, so you are not fooled by a louder output.

I left the best part for last. LA9A Levelling Compressor will be a free plugin, like my VLA-One and G-Bus Compressor. No strings attached. No email sign-up, no code and no limit.

LA9A Levelling Compressor will be available as Windows, macOS and Linux VST3/AU installers.
