VocLyrics 1.3.0 is out now, and it’s a free update for all existing users.

Two highlights:

Edit Text checkbox — Edit Mode now has an “Edit Text” checkbox next to Insert Time. By default, the lyric box is read-only (you can still scroll through it freely), and ticking the box makes it editable again. This is there because most DAWs use the Spacebar to start/stop playback — if the lyric box happened to have focus, that Spacebar was instead typing a space into your lyrics. Now it can’t.

Teleprompter Display Style — a new display style that continuously scrolls a whole block of lyrics or script, rather than jumping line by line. Just stamp a timestamp on the first line of a passage and the first line of the next one with Insert Time as usual, and everything in between scrolls smoothly across that time window — no need to time-stamp every line.

To update, download the latest installer from your account on the Studio9 Plugins website and reinstall over your existing copy — your license and settings carry over automatically.

Don’t have a license yet? Consider purchasing one to support the plugin’s ongoing development.

As always, thanks for using VocLyrics — let me know if you run into anything.
