To achieve tight, punchy, uniform and balanced mix, we can use compression. But like any processing of an audio, we can lose some details and clarity. No different with audio compression. We maintain the transients and clarity of an audio track or mix, we can use Parallel Compression. In this video, I briefly talk about audio dynamics and compression, as well as what Parallel Compression is. Then, demonstrate how to overcome the limitations in PreSonus Studio One V3 Prime, the FREE DAW, and achieve the same result.
