It is challenging sometimes for keyboard players to add guitar sounds to songs when guitars are not an instrument we can play, specially me. So we resort to sampled sounds using musical keyboards or VSTi plug-ins.
Myself, I have searched far and wide to find good sampled guitar VSTi instruments that sounded natural as well as have certain articulations to enable ‘real guitar’ feel. Weather acoustic, electric or bass guitar, majority I tested simply just failed to impress me, some down right waste of time.
If you have not heard of Ample Sound group, then this is your chance to find out. Ample Sound make one of the best natural sounding guitar VSTi Instruments that I have heard, with lots of articulation modes, transforming your MIDI Controller to as close as the real thing as possible.
I have installed and use Ample Sound’s Ample Guitar M Lite II, the acoustic guitar VSTi, which is FREE! Sounds absolutely great, even with the limitations of the free version. Once funds are raised, the complete set will be in my DAW.
And today Ample Sound released Ample Bass P Lite II (ABPL), a free lite version of ABP, recorded on a Fender Precision Bass.
Ample Bass P Lite II aim to bring the Fender Precision Bass sound to your studio. What more would a keyboard player want? You now have Bass and Acoustic guitar, for FREE.
I will review and have demo videos of both products very soon.
